Just a note: Something about the Western Digital AVJB/AAJB drives appear to be incompatible with some/all Series 1 TiVos. The affected TiVo models will never boot with these drives present, but will instead hang at the "Starting Up" screen.

Should be fine in Series 2, but Series 1 users beware.

In my case, I have a Philips HDR212 Series 1 TiVo, and it is an absolute no-go with the WE1600AVJB hard drives.

My DirecTV Tivo had started to reboot alot. I replaced the old 80 GB hard drive with one of these 250 GB A/V drives. I cloned the old drive with Winmfs software I got free off the internet and now it works great. I have a lot more record time and a stable Tivo again. This Audio/Video hard drive is exactly what is needed for these DVRs. Thanks guys.
